About The Course

Studies show that certain types of news coverage can increase the likelihood of suicide. Learn why messaging matters, where to find local resources, take a look at what's happening in Idaho, and how to build hope through reporting.

Meet The Trainers 

Lee Flinn, Director @ Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline. Flinn brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector with program and management roles at Idaho Primary Care Association and AARP Idaho, and as executive director of the Idaho Women’s Network and Conservation Voters for Idaho.  Shannon Decker, Executive Director & Co-Founder @ The Speedy Foundation. Decker holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Idaho and has over ten years of private and public teaching and administrative experience in Idaho, Nevada, and California.
